Atlantis Adventures
Atlantis Adventures offer several different tours:
Atlantis Submarine Tour
The Atlantis submarine carries 48 passengers and was specifically designed for underwater excursions. The tour begins at Seaport Marina where passengers board a ferry that transfers them to the submarine a short distance away.
Once onboard, the vessel begins its descent to the Barcadera Reefs. The Atlantis is air-conditioned, reasonably spacious and has large windows. On the tour you’re quite likely to see huge barrel sponges, corals and possibly even the occasional turtle or stingray. The Atlantis goes to depths of up to 150 feet and you’re likely to see colourful schools of tropical fish, huge sponge gardens, and beautiful coral fields
The tour lasts 1½ hours with around 45 minutes spent underwater.
Seaworld Explorer
The Seaworld Explorer is a semi-submarine (read glass-bottomed boat) that actually first saw service on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Throughout the 1 hour tour passengers are seated in an air-conditioned underwater glass observatory and will see the Arashi Coral Reef and the wreck of the Antilla, a 440-foot German freighter destroyed during World War II. The tour begins at the Holiday Inn Pier.
The Screamer
Enjoy a 60-minute thrill ride on a twin-engine, 1200HP, turbo-charged jet boat, the Screamer. High-speed runs, 180-degree spins, power slides and brake-stops are all part of the excitement.
Tours depart from the Pelican Pier at the Holiday Inn.
