Arikok National Park
The Arikok National Park is a protected area covering almost twenty percent of Aruba’s landmass. The wild area is home to many wild goats and donkeys, as well as many endemic species such as the Aruban rattlesnake.
In addition to Cero Jamanota, standing at 188 m above sea level and the highest point on the island, the park is home to a number of other interesting features.
Natural Pool
Known as the Cura di Tortuga, this hidden pool is protected from the sea by rocks and is a great place to take a dip.
Cunucu Arikok
A partially-restored farmhouse (cunucu) with walking trail sits at the base of Cero Arikok, the island’s second highest point.
Fontein Cave
The walls of this limestone cave are covered with the drawings of the Arawak Indians, the island’s earliest inhabitants.
