This video shows the underwater helmet diving experience offered by Sea Trek at Aruba’s De Palm Island.

Participants walk along a 375 foot walkway, 20 feet beneath the surface of the ocean.

The dive is open to all aged 8 years and above, and no swimming or diving experience is required.

Video – diving the wreck of the Antilla

This video shows the Antilla shipwreck, one of the most famous dive sites in Aruba.

The Antilla was a German freighter, scuttled by its crew during World War II when threatened by Allied Forces.

The 400 ft vessel is known locally as the ‘ghost ship’. It lies in 60 ft of water around ½ mile off the northwest coast of Aruba (near Malmok Beach and Boca Catalina).

The wreck is covered with giant tube sponges and coral formations, and is popular with both divers and snorkelers.

Video – diver at the Pedernales

This video shows a diver at the wreck of the Pedernales in Aruba.

This US oil tanker was torpedoed by a German submarine in 1942. The US military cut the wreck into 3 pieces. The damaged mid-section was left in place, but the fore and aft were taken back to the US and welded together to create a new vessel. This smaller ship went on to take part in the Allied invasion of Normandy.


Snuba diving video

This short video shows a snuba dive trip taken with Unique Sports of Aruba (based at the Radisson Aruba Resort on Palm Beach).

Snuba diving is similar to scuba diving, except that air is supplied via a hose attached to tanks on the water’s surface.
