Geography
Aruba is situated in the Caribbean, around 15 miles north of Venezuela. It is part of a chain of islands known as the ‘ABC Islands’ (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao).
Aruba measures around 20 miles in length, 6 miles at its widest point, giving a total area of approximately 70 square miles.
The island is renowned for its white beaches, most of which are found on the southern and western coasts.
Oranjestad is the island’s capital.
